The Strumbone is one of several instruments I have prototyped. It will be featured on a PBS television show called Design Squad. The Strumbone is an electric guitar with three strings tuned in such a way to play "power chords" when the strings are barred. A roller, which I call a "sliding capo," moves up and down the strings to change the pitch.
